ST Math is a PreK-8 visual instructional program that builds up student’s deep conceptual understanding of math. A complete technical and visual update was required for future growth. The design team was tasked to create a simplistic start-up flow to help minimize roadblocks on the first day and throughout the school year. Additional contributors are Alesha Arp (User Research) and Jennifer Mansdorf (User Experience Design).
Highlights:
• Created a modernized user interface allowing cohesive branding to help extend the world of ST Math’s main character JiJi throughout the student experience.
• Focused on a mobile first approach with larger buttons and text for touch screens and accessibility.
• Assisted the UX Designer in the creation of new simplified workflows enabling easy navigation and an increase to usability of the new features.
• Worked closely with the User Researcher to create simplified process based off of user feedback and needs.
